Ana Angeles is the Associate Director of Student Leadership and Engagement, where they oversee student life at the Columbia School of Social Work. Ana enjoys overseeing major campus events like Orientation and Graduation and supervising, advising, and supporting CSSW’s student leaders (from Orientation Leaders to student caucus leaders to Student Union officers!).
Ana has worked full-time and held internships at Barnard College, New York University, Cornell University, and Marymount Manhattan College. Ana holds an M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from New York University and a B.S. in International Business Administration at California State University, Monterey Bay.
Outside of their work in higher education, basketball is life! Ana serves as the League Commissioner of a queer and trans basketball league and coaches adults and kids.
Allison Aguilar

Allison oversees the weekly CSSW News & Events Newsletter, works with student caucuses with room reservations and flyer requests, and supports all other aspects of Student Affairs.
Allison Aguilar grew up in the DMV, she received her Bachelors from George Mason University and moved to New York for grad school and got her Masters from CSSW. Allison is a licensed master social worker, in direct practice she has worked in non profit supporting incarcerated individuals and people who have experienced IPV. Aside from CSSW Allison works in private practice, she is working on collecting her hours to obtain her clinical license.
Some of the things Allison enjoys is traveling, audio books and books, trying out new dessert spots, cooking and baking, and spending time with her dog, Mocha (border Aussie mix).

Sania Imran (she/her)

Sania Imran is a first-year online student in the One Year Reduced Residency program at CSSW. As a Brooklyn native and first-generation Pakistani American, she takes deep pride in her roots.
After graduating from CUNY Hunter College, she worked at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office as a Victim Advocate before her current role as a Health Educator and Social Media Manager at NYU Langone FHC – Project Reach Youth. Beyond professional and academic life, Sania is an avid traveler, immersing herself in diverse cultures and hopes to visit as many countries as she can!

Ava is a Student Life Graduate Assistant and second-year in the Advanced Clinical Practice Track. Ava is new to New York and loves to spend time exploring the city and organizing events that foster community at CSSW. Within social work, her passion primarily lies at the intersection of psychotherapy and legal advocacy. She is currently interning at Mount Sinai’s SAVI clinic, providing short-term trauma-therapy and advocacy to uninsured survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. A self-identified serial hobbyist, Ava spends her free time surfing at rockaway beach, going to latin dance events around the city, playing in community soccer leagues, or crocheting and collaging at home.

Hi, my name is Makayla, and I’m from Brooklyn, NY. I’m currently on the part-time to full-time track. I’m passionate about working in youth and family services, especially in youth mentorship. My long-term goal is to open my own private practice. In my free time, I enjoy watching anime and listening to music.
Tenzin Kunga (she/her)

Tenzin Kunga (she/her/hers) is a Tibetan-American first-year MSSW student in the Leadership, Management, and Entrepreneurship (LME) concentration. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Denison University, where she also minored in English Literature.
Tenzin currently serves as a Graduate Assistant and interns with the African Services Committee in Harlem, supporting immigrant communities through direct services and advocacy. She also conducts organizational culture and employee well-being research with the Action Lab for Social Justice and contributes to the Columbia Social Work Review as an editor.
Tenzin is passionate about community engagement, inclusive program design, and cultivating student-centered spaces that nourish wellness across campus!

Hi my name is Tara and I am a first year student at CSSW! I’m from
Virginia and was based in Washington DC before moving to New York. My main interest is in housing; I have past experience working in Homeless Services and I am currently doing my practicum at a Mobilization for Justice, housing-based legal services organization. I
love going for walks, exploring the city and I never say no to a good sitcom. Building community is one of my biggest passions, I am so excited to work with Student Life to create opportunities for students to connect and find a home at CSSW 🙂
Schanica Pickens Rolling(she/her/Queen)

Schanica Pickens Rolling is the Director of Student Affairs at the Columbia School of Social Work, where she leads and manages a student affairs office overseeing various aspects of student life and engagement, social work licensing, enrollment, accomodations and well-being. The Director also works with faculty, staff, and administrators to enhance the overall student experience.
Prior to joining the Columbia School of Social Work, Schanica worked at Adelphi University School of Social Work as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Director of the Masters of Social Work Program as well as held the role of Coordinator of Social Work Licensing.

Cheiku Camara is the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at the Columbia School of Social Work, where he oversees and manages student-related systems and functions, spanning the areas of student services, student life, and career services.
Prior to joining the School of Social Work, Cheiku worked at Columbia’s School of the Arts in Admissions as well as Student and Alumni Affairs.
