Dr. Zeil Rosenberg, M.D. is Executive Director at PPD Biotech where he focuses on providing strategic value to biotechnology companies towards the successful clinical development of important new therapeutics and vaccines. Prior to that he was Medical Director and Therapeutic Area Head at PPD AES, providing leadership to its global vaccine clinical trial network.
Dr. Rosenberg has held a variety of other leadership roles in industry and in the public sector. He served as Worldwide Business Leader and Medical Director for vaccines at Becton Dickinson (BD). He was VP for Medical Affairs at Admera Health, a medical diagnostics company focused on precision medicine. He served as CEO at a publicly traded biotechnology company using immunotherapeutics to address infectious disease. Dr Rosenberg has held senior roles in several US and global public health programs that targeted improved immunization.
Dr. Rosenberg received his B.A. with Honors and Distinction at Stanford University, earned his MD at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and completed his internship and residency at Mount Sinai and Cornell University Medical College, respectively. He holds a Masters of Public Health from Columbia. Dr. Rosenberg is an elected Fellow of both the American College of Preventive Medicine and the New York Academy of Medicine, and Specialty Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has served as AAS Science, Engineering and Diplomacy Fellow and was an adjunct faculty member at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health from 1989-2017. He lives in Northern New Jersey with his wife and family.
