New Student Series Part 7: Ximena Mata

For Part 7 of our series, meet Ximena Mata Zenteno. Ximena is a driven young woman, who’s currently working at the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the United Nations, and has learned how to use sports as “a tool for development and peace,” she says. She hopes to instill a love of sports and develop strong sports-related policies in her community in Puebla, Mexico after graduating from SIPA.

New Student Series Part 6: Chun-Fai Chan

Please welcome Chun-Fai Chan to the Class of 2017. Chun-Fai Chan works in adult education teaching GED-level classes, and hopes to collaborate with various entities in workforce development after SIPA. He says that being admitted to SIPA “was the happiest moment of my life” (not counting his wedding, of course).

Please say “hello” to Vipul Nanda, our next student in our new-student introduction series. Vipul is from New Delhi, India, and received his admissions letter at 5:00 a.m. He immediately contacted his parents and brother to give them the good news before falling back asleep. By the time he was ready for the workday, there was nothing you could do to remove the smile from his lips as he thought about the opportunities that awaited him at SIPA. Please welcome Nick Reinhold to the incoming Fall 2015 class at SIPA! Nick’s spent the last several years on active duty for the Air Force ROTC, and has served in Texas, Iraq and Japan, among other locations. (Thank you for your service, Nick.) For Part 3 of our series, meet Ana Cristina Canales Gómez. Ana is a veterinarian from Santiago, Chile, and she currently works at the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture. She enjoys riding horses in her free time, and looks forward to a change of pace by living in New York City and networking with international organizations and their leaders.
