Here are some of the answers guiding our discussion: Its label shouldn’t go away. It’s not a matter of [moral] luck. It’s an appropriate social phenomenon to sensationalize on the nightly news. Its negative consequences are the police’s fault. Punishment for looking suspicious (resulting in ‘stop and frisk’ practices) is acceptable.
