A research study is underway evaluating the outcomes and effects of a Narrative Medicine workshop for Child Psychiatry fellows on the consultation-liaison service at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. Results thus far have been extremely promising: Fellows overwhelmingly report that the seminar supports thoughtfulness, mindfulness, and curiosity, and state that the workshop helps them to attend holistically to understand patients’ lives and contexts and advances their listening skills.
