Linguists at the Undergraduate Research Symposium

Curious about undergraduate linguistics research at Columbia? Come to the Columbia Undergraduate Research Symposium this Friday, October 17th, to see presentations from four of our students! The presentation titles are listed below:

  • Ben Parkhurst CC’26, “Rates of Uptalk in Computer-Directed Speech”
  • Vasily Tselioudis CC’26, “Nominative and Accusative Case in Modern Greek: Usage with Embedded Clauses”
  • Aneesha Needamangala CC’28, “Modeling Endangered Language Shifts and Revitalization: Applying the Abrams-Strogatz Model to ‘Ōlelo Hawai’i”

The event will be held in Roone Auditorium from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.
