The upcoming Conference of the Parties in Vienna will serve as a forum for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to develop new approaches to combating transnational organized crime. The conference, set to begin October 15, will focus on violent crime such as human trafficking, as well as illegal transport and cybercrime. The conference is expected to host over 300 representatives from around the world including UN officials.
