The Journal of International Affairs is pleased to announce its eighth Thought Leadership Forum, taking place 30 April 2014, 7:00 pm at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.

Moderating for the evening is Zoe Stopak-Behr.

Panelists for the event are:
Saswati Bora, World Economic Forum (Consumer industries)
Glenn Denning, SIPA (Director in the development practice program)
Carolyn Dimitri, NYU (Economist specializing in food policy)
Thomas Jayne, MSU (Professor in agricultural, food, and resource economics)
Jessica Wurwarg, NYC (Director at the department of housing preservation and development)

The forum is the Journal‘s signature event, and marks the launch of the Spring/Summer 2014 issue on Global Food Security. As much as globalization has been a force for innovation, it has also radically altered the way eaters are connected to their food. The Spring/Summer 2014 issue examines the different dimensions in which food security has been impacted by growing populations, climate concerns, and the global recession in order to better understand how policymakers can come together to address food insecurity. The forum provides a venue in which scholars, authors, opinion leaders, and students can discuss global practices and governance.
