My research agenda examines how people act politically across different arenas of participation, from voting to protest. I am especially interested in how discrimination, vulnerability, and social exclusion shape political behavior among groups such as migrants and women. By connecting research on electoral behavior, political protest, migrant political incorporation, and gender and politics, my work investigates how marginalized groups (and not marginalized ones) engage with, challenge, and seek representation.
