A Statement of Solidarity

May we join together for a moment of silence for condolence for victims of terrorism in Paris, Beirut, Turkey, domestically, and around the world.

In the midst of such human tragedy, we continue to persevere in the hope for a more just and peaceful world, for a commitment to increase our awareness of ourselves, each other, and our communities. May it be so.

Au milieu d’une si grande tragédie humaine, nous continuous de persévérer dans l’espoir d’un monde plus juste avec plus de paix, pour un engagement à l’augmentation de soi-meme, des uns avec les autres, et de nos communautés. Qu’il en soit ainsi.

The bell of St. Paul's Chapel on campus was rung at noon for victims of terrorism in #Paris, #Beirut and other cities. The #bell was given by the c/o 1893 @columbiaschoolofthearts "to ring out through the ages for truth, justice and liberty." Please join us at the Arts at Earl concert series on select Thursday evenings this fall. The Arts at Earl program welcomes gifted music students from Columbia University and Barnard College to the performance space at Earl Hall Center. Performances take place on select Thursday evenings, beginning at 6:00 p.m., in the Earl Hall Center, Broadway and 117^th Street, on the Morningside campus.
