The mock interview sessions are back!
This semester, we plan to hold one mock interview session each week. The goal of these sessions is to help students get more confident for their upcoming interviews. We aim to provide a formal and learning environment for students to acquire few essential interview techniques.
Format
The mock interview will be conducted as a group interview format holding eight students during each session, which will last approximately 1.5 hours. Those eight students will be divided into two groups and each group will take turns to interview the other group as well as answer questions raised by the other group. This way, the students can get a taste of being both – the interviewer and an interviewee.
The interview will cover both technical and behavioral questions. A list of behavioral questions will be provided to aid the interview process. Two CSC E-board members will be present to facilitate and moderate the interview, and also to ask technical questions. At the end of the session, students will get feedback from both CSC E-board members and their peers.
Requirements
- Given that there are limited spots available, please sign up for only one mock interview session each month. If you need to cancel your ticket to the session, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
- Bring a copy of your resume to the mock interview.
- Dress code is business casual. Please be aware that for the actual interview with potential employers, you may require business formal attire.
Come prepared to be fully engaged. Take advantage of the sample interview questions available online and practice them before coming to the session.
An online survey will be sent out to the participants after the mock interview. Please fill it out in order to help improve our sessions in future.
