CSC MOCK INTERVIEW SESSION
Columbia Statistics Club, also known as CSC, held one mock interview session each week across the 2019 fall semester. We were aiming at providing a formal but learning environment for students to help each other gain more comfort in their incoming interviews. It would be a group interview with 8 participants and both technical and behavioral questions would be covered in the session.
The mock interview sessions went through two months and were welcomed by many of the participants. Many introduced the session to their friends. “It is really helpful if you’re looking for a job. You are never fully perpared”, said by a first year master student.
For those who wasted a position in the mock interview session, CSC came up with a “black list” to follow up. Students need to contact CSC 48 hours before the events otherwise they would be put into the “black list” and would be prevented from attending future events.
