Mobility Futures, in coordination with the Technology, Media, and Communications specialization at the School of International and Public Affairs, is excited to present a panel discussion around the idea of “regulatory hacking,” or how new ventures disrupt policy along the way to new markets.

Speakers:
Evan Burfield, co-founder of 1776 and CEO of Union; author of Regulatory Hacking: A Playbook for Startups
Susan Crawford, John A. Reilly Clinical Professor of Law at Harvard Law School
Priya Shrinivasan, Director of Policy, Standards and Legal Affairs in the Mayor’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer

Kathy Zhang, founder of Mobility Futures, Associate Director of the Tow Center for Digital Journalism, Columbia University

Mobility Futures is an initiative at Columbia’s Center for Sustainable Urban Development examining how new transportation technologies (including connected, automated, shared, and electric mobility options) are reshaping cities, and how proactive policies can create more sustainable and equitable transportation systems.
