Flying University – The Racist History of Math – Underground Science Festival

June 6, 2018, 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Caveat, 21 Clinton St.

Flying University is a re-education in hidden histories. This talk series is named after the underground university in Russian-occupied Poland that taught subjects banned by the state-run schools. This rebel organization also educated women, who were barred from attending the official university, including Marie Curie. In that spirit, each Flying University talk highlights a piece of history that has been “conveniently forgotten.” Let’s set the record straight.

The show is 21+. More information and tickets ($15) available on the website.

This event is part of the Underground Science Festival.
