Atlas Obscura and the New York Academy of Medicine – After Hours Series: Medical Photography

This event is part of the six-session 2016 series “After Hours: Inside the Rare Book Collections of The New York Academy of Medicine” presented by Atlas Obscura at the Academy.

Guest-host Dr. Heidi Knoblauch will take visitors on a tour of our 19th and 20th-century collections of medical photographs, including dermatological atlases, portraits of wounded Civil War veterans, 19th-century daguerrotypes kept by doctors of their patients, and many more photographic gems.
