Visitors will have the exciting chance to see the vivid illustrations of the father of neuroscience in an upcoming
exhibition at the Grey Art Gallery at NYU. The Beautiful Brain: The Drawings of Santiago Ramón y Cajal includes around 80 life-like depictions of the brain by the renowned scientist and illustrator that are still in use today in the medical profession.
The exhibition was organized by the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota in collaboration with the Cajal Institute, and is accompanied by a book, The Beautiful Brain. It has traveled from Minnesota to Canada, and will move to Massachusetts and North Carolina after its stop in New York.
The opening reception will be January 8th, and the exhibition will open January 9th and last through March 31st, 2017.
