The Gerda Henkel Foundation provides funding and support for historical humanities scholars in the fields of Archaeology, Art History, Historical Islamic Studies, History, History of Law, History of Science, Prehistory and Early History. Applications for research scholarships can be made directly by postdocs or faculty and scholars with Post Doctoral Lecture Qualification. A research scholarship is usually applied for by one scholar who will work on a specific project on his/her own. An institutional affiliation is not necessary.
