Froth and foam (ion and precipitate) flotation, electrochemical separation methods, hydrometallurgy, CO2 electroreduction, electrochemistry, adsorption, colloid and interfacial chemistry; dispersion/aggregation; design of surfactant and polymer systems for a particular application; operando and in situ vibrational spectroscopy
MAIN CURRENT PROJECTS
1) Recovery of target elements from complex aqueous matrices using green foams, smart polymers, and electrons;
2) Advancing electrochemical processes for water safety and circularity,
3) Electrochemical leaching using biosurfactants as promoters.
4) Electrocatalytic conversion of CO2 to fuels using earth-abundant and not-toxic materials.
