SUMMARY:A Woman's Celebration: 3rd Annual Wellness Convening
DESCRIPTION:Love Thyself First is holding its third annual women’s celebration in New York\, NY \n\n\n\nFor the third year in a row the annual celebration will include an award ceremony honoring women who have persevered through struggles of imprisonment\, domestic violence\, depression as well as physical\, mental and emotional obstacles to find strength to love and respect themselves. The program will include impactful speakers\, an influential screening\, inspiring poetry all while showcasing theater and various forms of visual arts. \n\nSEATING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE WHEN YOU GET YOUR TICKETS HERE \n\nLTF’s mission is to encourage women to step out in faith and live in purpose through mindfulness despite dehumanizing stigmas associated with mental health barriers. LTF strives to reduce the number of women who fall victim to destructive circumstances including domestic violence\, drug abuse\, and incarceration. LTF’s lessons in self-sufficiency empower women to be economically\, spiritually and mentally self-reliant. This program has the capacity to decrease the amount of women who manifest their hurt and pain into behaviors that open gateways to self-harm\, self-medication and a diminished sense of self-worth. “The Love Thyself First platform was created because LTF believes that when a woman learns to love herself\, she learns peace\, her strength\, her voice and her importance\,” co-founder Haydee Lee Toro said. \nSince 2015\, LTF has created unique opportunities for conversations on topics such as self-love and mental health challenges. LTF also facilitates workshop-based support groups to educate women about the importance of self-advocacy. LTF routinely collaborates with existing women’s initiatives to co-create pathways to successful wellness connections\, which are the holistic operations of a healthy mind\, strong body\, and a fortified spirit. Restoring hope through mentorship and providing resources for women are essential to the execution of this program’s mission.
