SUMMARY:TIME SERVED: EXHIBITION AND SOCIAL TEA ARTIST TALK WITH PASTOR ISAAC SCOTT
DESCRIPTION:September 9 – November 4\, 2018\nArtists’ Reception: September 22  6-8 PM \n30 East 35 Street\, NYC 10016 \n\nClosing Reception: October 27  6-8 PM \nGallery35 is planning an exciting lineup of exhibits for its new season beginning with another thought-provoking Social Justice Exhibit\, Time Served!—A New Start. The show will present art exploring the issue of overcoming the challenges facing those released from prison who are seeking new beginnings in the larger community. The exhibit will coincide with a conference—also focusing on life after incarceration— to be held at Community Church in October by the Community Service Society (CSS)\, a 175-year-old anti-poverty organization that aims to “raise the floor for all New Yorkers.” The exhibit will also include the art of conference participants and other guest artists in addition to Gallery35 artists.   \nThe Confined Arts will be featuring Lead Artist Pastor Isaac Scott in the TIME SERVED exhibition at the Community Church of New York. This exhibition is featuring narrative building artwork such as Behind Bars and Rikers Island\, the good the bad and the ugly.  \n  \n  \n \nDOWNLOAD SOCIAL TEA POSTER HERE  \nSOCIAL TEA ARTIST TALK WITH PASTOR ISAAC SCOTT \nSocial Tea \nGuest Speaker: Pastor Isaac Scott\nTuesday\, September 25 \n2:00 – 3:30 pm \n40 East 35th Street\, NYC 10016 \nAssembly Hall – downstairs at the church building –.  There is an elevator for accessibility. \n  \nPastor Isaac will speak about his experiences and his current project From the Inside Out.
