DESCRIPTION:The What is Justice? Film series concludes its final event of the semester with a screening of Fruitvale Station\, a film that follows the true life story and tragic death of Oscar Grant. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with writer\, director\, poet\, activist and educator\, Jamal Joseph\, writer Mychal Denzel Smith and Linda Tigani\, organizer with the Malcom X Grassroots Movement\, moderated by Nash Professor of Law\, Kendall Thomas. \nThursday April 17th\, 2014  6pm\nMilbank Theater\, Teachers College \nThis screening is free\, open to the public and no registration is required. \nA project from The Justice Initiative at Columbia University and the Media and Idea Lab at the Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race organized in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Law and Culture and Columbia University School of the Arts\, and Teachers College\, Vice President’s Office for Diversity and Community Affairs
