SUMMARY:Frida in New York
DESCRIPTION:Community & Events\n\nARTE uses the arts to educate and inspire young people to organize around human rights issues. Given our commitment to supporting youth of color through creativity and self-expression\, we are thrilled to be honoring the legacy of Frida Kahlo\, a radical\, queer unapologetic feminist of color. Please celebrate with us at the Starr Bar in Brooklyn for a night inspired by Frida’s work including interactive arts activities\, celebrity video greetings\, drinks\, food\, and conversation. This community event will be part of a larger fundraising campaign to support ARTE’s efforts to build a sustainable movement of human rights organizing through the arts. Please join us as we honor the social justice warriors that came before us so that we can create a more equitable and just future. A downloadable .pdf flyer can be found here. You can RSVP on our Facebook Event Page here. Please e-mail questions to marissa@artejustice.org.
