DESCRIPTION:Films For Liberation: Let the Fire Burn\n\nFriday Oct 3rd\, 2014 – 7pm\nMalcom X Lounge\, Columbia University\nJoin Students Against Mass Incarceration for our FIRST FILMS FOR LIBERATION OF THE YEAR! On Friday\, we will be watching Let the Fire Burn\, a documentary about the 1985 siege on the Black liberation group MOVE by the Philadelphia Police Department. Following the screening\, we will have a brief follow-up discussion on the movie\, as we think about questions regarding violence\, police repression\, and strategies for liberation. We will watch this documentary to prepare for our teach-in that will be on Wednesday\, October 8th. Join SAMI for food!
