THE COLORED MUSEUM
Written by George C. Wolfe
Directed by Jordan Mahome
In 2008, many Americans believed that the election of Barack Obama would help heal the racial tension that has existed in our country for centuries. Twenty-six years after its creation, The Colored Museum, written in eleven “exhibits” that comment on the lifestyles, family, politics and the internal struggle of Black people in 20th century America, shows us that even though a Black man is now the President, 21st century America still needs to continue the fight for racial equality.
Starring Charity Phalo, Keisha Jewet, Eric Lockley, Sheyenne Brown, J Nycole Ralph, Heather Harvey, Michael Alexis Palmer, Makeda Abraham, Ryan F Johnson, Justin Tyler Jenkins, Jasmine Webb, Tristan Laurence Perez, and Reza Salazar
