Songs and Dances of Death

Presented by Juliet Forshaw, Victoria Tzotzkova, Maria Forshaw, A.J. Johnson, Ashley Nail, and Marshall Moseley of the Columbia graduate music department

Join us for a series of vignettes of Russian life and death:  dead babies,  Death and the Maiden,  dancing drunken peasants,  and a bloodthirsty general. Seven staged songs by Modest Musorgsky with piano accompaniment and poetry. Sung in Russian. The performance is expected to last 45 minutes.
