About

Columbia University’s oldest undergraduate student-run literary journal, Quarto has spent 60 years publishing the finest works of fiction, poetry, non-fiction and other creative writings of Columbia students and almumi. The list of previous Quarto contributers is extensive, including acclaimed writers such as J.D. Salinger, Carson McCullers, Mario Puzo, Richard Yates, William Carlos Williams, Louise Gluck, Melissa Bank, Joseph Connelly, Edwidge Danicat, Kim Wozencraft, and Joseph Ferrandino. Despite a recent decline in Quarto’s visibility on campus, the 2009 edition promises to bring the magazine back to the forefront of the Columbia literary scene. Quarto is the official magazine of Columbia’s Undergraduate Writing Program.
