Join the Multicultural Business Association for a round table discussion with Ms. Ishwara Glassman Chrein, the Director of Operations & Strategy, IMG Consulting and US Business Development for the International Management Group (IMG). Ms. Chrein has 7 years of experience working in the sports business industry with IMG, a world leader in global sports, entertainment and media business. Ms. Chrein will discuss her experience in sports business working for an industry giant like IMG and how she was drawn to the industry after her work in the financial industry. There will then be ample time for a question and answer with Ms. Chrein, so please bring questions!

Have you ever wondered what the stock market is really about? These days every fourteen year old seems to be risking it all to ride the ups and downs of the market. If the words ‘bear’ and ‘bull’ have no meaning to you besides the fact that they are animals, then this event is for you!

This presentation will teach you the basics of how to trade stocks. For those more experienced attendees, we will have two members from Lionfund, LLC, Columbia’s own investment group, detail more specifics and present their organization and how to trade effectively. Refreshments will be provided.

MBA invited the Boston Consulting Group to Columbia to hold an information session on the leading management consulting agency, the recruiting process for full-time positions for seniors and graduate students, and offering over a hundred of our members a chance to network with recruiters and learn more about the consulting industry during the crucial time in the recruiting process.

MBA partnered with Leaders in Investment Banking to invite over 500 students from Columbia, NYU, and the surrounding areas to a 2-day Investment Banking workshop, designed to help students break into the field of investment banking. During the packed weekend, our students learned about key information pertaining to IB, sitting in on workshops on how to build a resume, training for both technical and behavioral portions of IB interviews, networking, cold calling and emailing, cover letters, personal marketing, and info sessions.
