Social Justice

InterVarsity’s Social Justice initiative exists to provide a way for members to live into the fullness of the Gospel.

The way we do this is by encouraging each other daily to live the Gospel in many ways. We provide service opportunities for members to attend with their friends and Life Groups. We also train in the knowledge of the Gospel and God’s justice. We want to align our lives with the Gospel through the grace of God and live for freedom.

The specific initiatives that fulfill that vision are serving the needy in our own neighborhood, New York City. We fight human trafficking through building awareness with the annual Freedom Week. We provide avenues to literally combat human trafficking and exploitation through LoGOFF – local, green, organic, fair trade, and slave free. Members of the Social Justice branch in InterVarsity are equipped with the Biblical theology of justice and use it to be an life-changing force for those around them.
