Also compared control and sample plots, using camera traps, dung counts and vegetation transects.
“Planned Grazing in Lewa Conservancy: Can Livestock Enhance Wildlife Conservation?”

Ol Jogi Wildlife Conservancy, Laikipia, Kenya
Using visual recognition system (Hotspotter within IBEIS.org) estimated population sizes and vital rates of giraffe by assessing age and sex class and patterns of habitat use on conservancies where livestock stocking rates are low and woody areas are not actively managed and pastoralist group ranches where livestock levels are high, and trees are harvested for charcoal. Involved local school children that are members of the conservation clubs at these different sites in this study. (View: http://gu.com/p/4hjf3/stw)
