Overview

Schwarzman Scholars is a highly selective, fully-funded program designed to prepare future leaders to serve as intermediaries between China and the rest of the world.

Up to 200 Scholars are chosen annually from around the world to develop their leadership skills and professional networks through a one-year Master’s Degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing – one of China’s most prestigious universities.

Application

To access the U.S./Global application and learn more about requirements, please visit the Schwarzman Scholars website. The U.S./Global application closes at 11:59 PM on September 26, 2019. The process includes an online application and evaluation as well as an in-person regional interview. Required forms and records include:

  • Resume (2 page maximum)
  • Transcripts/Academic Records
  • Essays (2)
  • Letters of Recommendation (3)
  • Video (optional)

The application for candidates who hold passports from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao closes on May 31, 2019. The China application can be found here.

Those selected are notified of their acceptance by mid-November 2019.
