Know your Professors, early

“Truly embrace the introductory pre-med courses you take here, like General Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. It can be a bit harder to form a relationship with the professors of these courses because of their sheer size, but don’t let that deter you. Office hours are in place for a reason, and these professors really do want to know their students and help them succeed. Knowing your professors on a personal level is extremely helpful when asking for letters of recommendation. Many professors of large lectures are asked to write dozens of letters of recommendation, so try to set yourself apart in some way. It’s never too early to form lasting professional relationships with your professors on campus.”- Chelsea
