Be yourself in all aspects

“Branch out in your activities! Don’t try and guess what you think medical school admissions officers “want to see” in your extracurriculars, because that’s a path that will ultimately hinder both your college experience and, unfortunately, your medical school admissions chances too. Admissions officers want to see you, and if that involves doing something totally unrelated to medicine, great! Don’t let your time in college go to waste; now’s the best time to try new things and to break your boundaries. You’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you do otherwise!”- Daniel
