TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, PART II CHALLENGES TO ARMENIA-DIASPORA RELATIONS

From the first rumblings of independence in 1989 to policy clashes on the Armenia-Turkey protocols, the pullout of the Lincy Foundation from Armenia and the alienation of diasporan investors and philanthropists, relations between the diaspora and Armenia appear to be more strained than ever. What are the consequences of a standoff? Can the diaspora meaningfully participate in the affairs of the homeland? What can be done collectively and individually to build new bridges of mutual respect and cooperation?
